I hung a roll of paper towels in the front of the garage. When checking the oil in the car, it is so easy to just tear off a towel and toss it in the trash when finished rather than searching for a rag.
Clean under low furniture
To dust under a low, bulky item, such as a refrigerator, washer or dryer, put a long sock on yardstick and secure it with a rubber band. Swipe it under the item. It works great and is a good use for all of those old, single socks you find in the washer.
