Blood stain

Having two small very active boys, this sure helps: spray or pour hydrogen peroxide over blood stained clothing area. This will immediately 'lift' the blood stain off of the garment.

Deodorant marked clothing

Being that black and other dark colors are in everyones wardrobe, it stinks when you put on your shirt and look down at the deodorant marks left on it. Easiest way to get out - rub the material together and it gets it out instantly!

Doing two things at once

I always kept a laundry basket full of clean clothes from the dryer in the family room. Whenever the kids watched T.V., they knew that time had to be spent also folding clothes.

Dusting

Ever wonder what to do with those dryer sheets after you have used them to dry your clothes? Save them to do your dusting. Gather them in layers, and when one is dusty, turn it over and use a clean layer. When you have used all the layers and aren't finished dusting yet, go outside and shake them out and do some more dusting.

Food stains on clothes

If you get a food stain on an item of washable clothing, use dishwashing liquid to get it out. Squirt a little onto the stain and rub it in. Let it sit overnight and wash as usual.

Grass stains

When your child comes in with fresh grass stains on jeans of any color, immediately immerse the jeans in cold water. Using dishwashing liquid and a stiff clean brush, scrub until the grass stains come out completely. It's never failed me yet!

Laundry Dots

Whose t-shirt is whose? Use fabric marker and put one dot on clothes labeled for the oldest child, two dots for child two, etc... When you pass clothes down, just add a dot!

Mildew-free laundry

Mildew lives through many washer cycles, infesting your clothes, linens, towels, etc. My fix-all is a half-cup of white vinegar added to your next load of laundry.

Nighty-nite

Do part of the laundry at night. Put a load of clothes in the washer before you go to bed.

No Creases

To avoid creases hang pants on hanger with a Scott Towel in between the pants and the hanger.
